About
I am a counselor committed to cultural sensitivity. I value diversity. My goal is to provide a safe, non-discriminatory, non-shaming space for authentic, mindful communication. I believe in the power of love, the wisdom of the heart, and each person’s ability to find their own truth.
With increased self-awareness you can pause to face your fears and disrupt avoidance cycles. I believe that each of us shines from within. Grounded in love, my intent is to reduce suffering and to do no harm. Allow me to help you recognize and appreciate how you shine.
Licensed by the State of Texas as a professional counselor, #69385.
I look forward to being of service.

About my training:
I earned my Masters of Arts in Counseling from the Seminary of the Southwest, Austin, Texas in 2009.
Our program included studies focused on spirit in mental health. My 3000 hour internship involved work with young children, adolescents, couples, families and geriatric group therapy.
BS Secondary Science Education from The University of Texas at Austin 1983. Thirty years as an educator provided opportunities to work with diverse populations in a variety of settings such as public schools, a school for incarcerated youth, virtual education for at-risk youth, job skills training for adults, adult community education and ESL/Job Skills training for migrant farm workers.
Personal motivation, improved organization and higher quality communication are attainable skills necessary to get back on track academically. I enjoy working with people to learn to better manage their feelings, perceptions, and time.
